Green and Inclusive Community Buildings (GICB) Program
Infrastructure Canada has a new Green and Inclusive Community Buildings (GICB) program to support retrofits, repairs or upgrades of existing publicly-accessible community buildings and the construction of new publicly-accessible community buildings that serve underserved and high-needs communities across Canada. It covers 80% of retrofit costs and 60% of new buildings. Page 8 of the Applicant Guide lists the types of eligible buildings. Federally or provincially incorporated not-for-profit organizations are eligible.
Apply for a Banff Community Grant by May 12
Do you have a great community project idea? Registered Banff non-profits can apply for a community grant of up to $5,000 that enhances the quality of life of residents. Informal groups and individuals from Banff & Lake Louise can apply for a Building Bridges Grant of up to $2,000 that strengthens social well-being. The total funding available has doubled from 2020.
