Town of Canmore Community Grants

Town of Canmore Community Grants are open until April 29! Eligible societies and community organizations can now apply for grants of up to $5,000! Funding will support local initiatives and local/regional events that promote a circular economy, a sense of belonging, affordability, and equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Apply before April 29 at 12 p.m.

YWCA Banff’s Women of Distinction Awards

Nominations for YWCA Banff’s Women of Distinction Awards are open! These awards recognize local women who through their own initiative, ability and effort have demonstrated exemplary achievement in their fields. These women are outstanding role models and an inspiration. They have made substantial contributions to the social fabric of our community in a unique way.

There are three categories for nomination:

– Community Champion
– Innovation
– Young Women’s Leadership

Digital Storytelling Workshop Giveaway

𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗬 // Do you have a Bow Valley non-profit you would like to create a digital story about?

Now is your chance! Kristy Wolfe is giving away one of ten seats to my Introduction to Storytelling – DST Workshop on May 25th.

This in person workshop runs from 6:30-9:00pm on Wed May 25th and we are meeting at CanMore Together’s beautiful new community hub.

This workshop will get you started on telling a story, whether it is from the perspective of a volunteer, a program participant, as staff member, a Board Member or someone who just loves what the organization is doing! We all need cheerleaders!
